Gru's Minions Despicable Me

Despicable me 2 coming soon! Love that movie and especially little minion guys! So inspired by it I made my own pattern what is REALLY simple… I even thought that I made up a new technique but found it on the internet later, ha-ha. It’s a Fair Isle/Stranded Knitting. This is knitting with two different colors or more, you just have to care both strings through the row and keep twisting them between each other and depend on color chart use needed color. Don’t worry it’s SO SIMPLE, just try it. My minion measures 3,5 inches.
Body:
Cast on 16 sts with blue. Work in stocking stitch (* 1 row (RS): K, 2 row (WS): P, repeat from* ) follow color chart. Do not bind off, cut the string about 8-9 inches long and using a needle put that string through every loop on the needle and pull it together really tight. Fold it in the middle with right sides out. Using a mattress stitch, sew sides down the seam till blue overalls starts,
change to blue string and continue all the way down. Turn inside out (on your right side), sew pants legs in the middle, tie a knot, cut the string. Stuff it and sew bottom part.

Arms (make 2): Make 1 inch I-cord, join with black yarn ch 6, taking care not to twist ch, join with sl st in first ch to form a ring. Secure your string and cut it off. Tie arms to the body.
Boots (make 2): Ch 5, sl st in 2nd ch, work sc, hdc, dc, crochet in each remaining single crochet, then ch 2, join in 1st st. Sew boots to the body.
Hairs: With black yarn put some twigs. You don’t have to do it, some minions are bald J
Eyes and glasses: I used wiggle eyes and color sides with silver marker, so it will look like glasses and sew a string around.
Embroider a pocket and a mouth.
Ta-Da! Your minion is ready! And I’m going to finish my army of minions… see ya
